Where can I navigate with a valid Boat Skipper B license?
The license is valid in Navigation Zone III, which means you can sail up to 12 nautical miles from the coast.
How long is the Boat Skipper B license valid?
Once you pass the exam, you receive a certificate of competency for Boat Skipper B, which is issued without a time limit.
Can foreign nationals obtain a Boat Skipper B license in Croatia?
Yes, foreign nationals can obtain the license, but they must go through the same process as Croatian citizens, including training and exams.
Who can take the Boat Skipper B exam?
The certificate of competency for Boat Skipper B can be obtained by anyone who is at least 16 years old and passes the exam according to the prescribed program. Until the age of 18, you are not allowed to operate boats with engine power greater than 15 kW (20 HP). After turning 18, there are no engine power limitations, and you have the right to navigate any vessel registered in the boat registry.
Can I use this license to rent a boat or yacht?
Yes, you can rent a vessel provided it is not for commercial purposes and you do not earn from it. For commercial purposes, a Boat Skipper C license is required.
